Fostering a dog or cat involves bringing a dog or cat home for a temporary period. This temporary period for Bark at the Moon Rescue (BATM) typically lasts anywhere from one to two months, until they can be adopted. Fostering can be a very rewarding position and is a great way to help dogs/cats when you may not be able to own one permanently.Apply to Foster
As we continue to grow and save more lives, we rely on the support of the animal loving community and their incredible generosity in order to continue doing what we do. As a nonprofit, we do not receive any government funding, meaning that the entirety of our funds come from adoption fees & donations. We also collect new or gently used supplies for our foster dogs.
Some of the items we always need are:
Martingales (small & medium), harnesses(small, medium & large), leashes, dog beds, metal crates, dog food, treats, toys, blankets & poop bags.
The goal for 2021, was to successfully save 50 dogs. In 6 months of operation, we surpassed our goal. Meaning, 80 dogs have come into our rescue, and are either adopted or receiving the love and care they deserve in foster care, preparing to find their forever homes. Check out just some of the smiling faces that we have helped provide a second chance at life.View Alumni
